Information for Ukrainian refugees

Food parcels

Unfortunately we do not accept applications for food support anymore. Instead you can get an allowance from the municipality of the city where you are located. Please apply for this as soon as possible.

Application for allowance in Amsterdam

If you have a Citizen Service Number (BSN), you can make an appointment to apply for the national allowance. Please call 14 020. If you do not have a BSN yet, call 14 020 to make an appointment for BSN registration. Once you have arranged the BSN at City Office Zuid, you can go immediately to the desk for subsistence allowance at the same office.

Please note:

  • The BSN registration is not the same as the registration at the RAI or Central Station upon arrival in Amsterdam.
  • If you have an IBAN bank account, the application process will be smoother. In this case, you can arrange the subsistence allowance by visiting the City Office Zuid.

City Office Zuid, Appointment Desk, President Kennedylaan 923, 1079 MZ Amsterdam.
Opening hours: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, 09.00 to 17.00. Thursday, 09.00 to 20.00.

If you still need support, please contact the Buurtteam (Neighbourhood Team, or visit the webpages of the City of Amsterdam council for Ukrainian refugees.
